School Day

Kew House School has a innovative school day with 90 minute lessons. This is designed to cut down on time spent moving between classrooms and to create space for our students to consolidate, reflect and delve deeper into their subjects.

The school day starts at 8.30am and lessons end at 4.00pm with extra curricular clubs starting at 4.15pm and ending at 5.30pm. For more information on our enrichment opportunities, please click here.

Our Sixth Form students are permitted to study in their Independent Learning Centre until 6.00pm.

Pupils enjoy Personal Tutor Group time as well as regular year group assemblies.  Pupils enjoy a 20-minute break in the morning and an hour’s break at lunchtime.

Our innovative Gardener Award teaching and learning can also take place during lessons, enriching pupils’ understanding and its application in the wider world. Please click here for more information on the Gardener Award.
