The Kew House School admissions process aims to identify interesting, able and engaging students who will work well as a team supporting and inspiring one another.
Our application process is designed to be simple, online and easy to use. However, before making an application it is always advisable to visit the school first.
Our Admissions Registrar organises regular term time Open Mornings. This is the best time to see the school in action, as the events are timed to give the truest impression of pupil-life at the school. The Headmaster and other Senior staff will give a short introduction after which there are plenty of staff and pupils on hand to show you round their school and answer your questions. Parents and carers often decide to bring their children with them to these events and they benefit from seeing the school first hand as well as meeting staff and pupils.

Unable to attend an open event?
For parents who are unable to attend an open event, we invite you to book a tour of the school with our Head, Will Williams. This guided tour provides a wonderful opportunity to explore our school, meet our dedicated staff and see our vibrant learning environment in action.
Entry to Kew House School is normally in Y7 or for Sixth Form, with other places occasionally available. Admission is fundamentally based on interview. All registered children are invited to interview, with interviews organised in threes, with a senior member of staff. We seek interesting, able and engaged pupils and engineer the interviews to give insight into the values and character of each young person. We encourage our pupils to work together as a team to support and inspire one another. Feeder school references inform the interview process and only after offer decisions are made, is the ISEB standardised score referred to by leaders. This process ensures that all pupils offered a place, will be able to thrive at Kew House School.
Siblings may be given preference, subject to meeting our admissions criteria, at the discretion of the Headmaster. Faced with candidates of equal merit, sibling preference permits the Headmaster to favour one application over another. There is no automatic sibling priority. Applications are now open for Year 7 and Year 12 entry in September 2027, including scholarship applications. Discover what makes our school distinctive at one of our forthcoming Autumn Term open events. We look forward to welcoming you.
