Entry for Sixth Form

Kew House Sixth Form is a hub of opportunity and excellence where students thrive. Our Sixth Form experience is both rigorous and enriching, combining academic challenge with outstanding mentorship and unwavering support. Over two years, students are guided by exceptional subject specialists who inspire ambition, nurture independence and encourage every individual to find their unique voice.

The admission process for entry to the Sixth Form should always start with a visit to our school as our Registrar, Dawn Hassett, organises dedicated Sixth Form Open Mornings or Private Tours so please contact her directly to be invited to the next event at admissions@kewhouseschool.com.

Families who are interested in Year 12 entry for September 2026 or 2027 are welcome to contact our Registrar for a private tour to learn more about our academic offering and and our expertise in working with our students on their post-18 choices.

At this stage in the year, all prospective Sixth Form students are welcome to attend any Open Morning where they will join a tailored tour led by our Head of Sixth Form.

Step by Step Guide to Sixth Form Admission

Please click on the individual sections below for detailed guidance and links to our booking forms.

Step 1: Attend An Open Event

It is always advisable before registering for any school to attend an Open Event.

We organise dedicated Sixth Form Private Tours where staff and more importantly members of our current Sixth Form will be on hand to show you around the school and answer any questions you may have. After coffee a brief talk is given by our Head of Sixth Form and Headmaster and then you and your child will be taken on a tour of the school.

Step 2: Register For a Place

If you decide, and we hope you will, after visiting the School is the right place for your child to continue their education post GCSE then it is necessary to register for a place no later than Wednesday 21st October 2026.  The deadline for 16+ scholarship applications is Friday 13th November 2026.

Please complete the online registration form, pay the registration fee (£180 including VAT) and also complete the Year 12 application form if you wish to register your child for a place in Year 12 in September 2027.

Step 3: Interview

Students and parents will be invited into school to meet a member of our Sixth Form team for a formal interview. They will also have the chance to ask any questions they may have about the school. If desired, a tour can be arranged as part of the visit. We will confirm subject choices at interview and these will be included in the offer letter.

Step 4: Offer

Offers will be made after all required documentation is received and the interview has taken place. All offers will be conditional on the student achieving the minimum entry requirements for their chosen courses. Details of our admissions requirements are contained within our programme documentation.

If you are unsuccessful in receiving an offer from us, you are invited to remain on our reserve list and we may be able to make an offer to you at a later time.

Step 5: Acceptance

We ask that parents sign and return a completed acceptance accompanied by a non-refundable deposit by the date indicated in the offer letter. The acceptance deadline for Year 12 places for September 2027 will be in January 2027.
