Mark Hudson

Headmaster of Kew House School, Mr Mark Hudson, joined us from Thomas Telford School in Shropshire, where he was Senior Deputy Head. Thomas Telford School has been the top performing non-selective state school in England for the last 14 years and has been nationally recognised and commended as an ‘innovative and outstanding school’ by Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Schools.

Mark Hudson shares the vision and ethos of Gardener Schools Group and has the expertise to lead Kew House School in its aim to be a pioneering school which recognises individuality and pursues excellence across a wide curriculum and enrichment programme.

He has extensive experience in the design and development of new schools including the recently opened Hammersmith Academy.  He also has significant knowledge of innovative curriculum development, resulting in outstanding performance and achievement.

Married with two sons, Mark worked in the South West of England for 13 years, prior to moving to Telford, where he worked for 17 years. He studied for his Bachelor of Education degree, specialising in Design and Technology, in Winchester. He then gained his Master’s degree in Education from the University of Exeter.

He has worked closely on a number of nationally recognised projects both in design and technology and secondary curriculum development. Mark is an experienced teacher and has taught a wide range of subjects including the Humanities as well as Design and Technology. He will continue to teach while he is Headmaster at Kew House School.
