Kew The Wet Weather Rowing

After an incredibly long and rather wet winter, the boat club have completed their 2023-2024 head racing season. After many months of rain and cancellations, KHSBC crews finally took to the River Thames and Dorney Lake for some much-needed racing!

Our senior girls and boys took to the championship course of the Thames, racing from Mortlake to Putney for the Schools’ Head, Women’s Head and Eight’s Head of the River. This marked KHSBC’s first season entering two women’s eights into these national head races.

Our J14 – J15 cohort raced at the national junior sculling head to mark their first trip to Dorney Lake this season. A lot of experience gained and an absolute blast to finally give our J14 cohort some racing experience. A massive congratulations to Yew House for once again dominating the Easter House Regatta. Next stop… Summer!
